Responsibilities:

  • Sub - contracted by the Confidential of Richmond. Responsible for budget forecasting/management, planning, risk assessment/monitoring/mitigation, Quality Assurance and Control (QA/QC), direct Project Team on each project assigned, oversee/monitor all other resources to ascertain the project is meeting all critical specifications and is on schedule and within budget. I managed the implementation of Microsoft RMS as it extends data security to Desktop and Mobile devices. The scope involved developing a Roadmap for securing data to Federal Reserve Desktop and Mobile users. We are in the middle of transitioning from Lotus Notes Domino to Microsoft Exchange.
  • As Project Manager, I am responsible for overseeing the Strategic Roadmap and implementation of this security project, and help develop best practices and policies that will support the Business Requirements. The WAN is to be optimized where necessary or upgraded to support the SAP/R3 application and new .NET programming.   • Contracted by Custom Direct International ( Confidential ) Harford County MD, to build a state of the art Data Center. The build includes design and implement CAT5e cabling for 200 seats, design and build of all Data Center components, CCTV. Each seat to have 3 runs voice/data/spare and migrate users into the new space. This project involved assessing the feasibility for the entire project, creating an approved project plan, interview and hire all contractors, produce a Bill of Materials (BOM), and manage and tract every aspect of the project, including budget I was given a very timeline of six months to complete this project. The components of the Data Center were as follows: Cisco 6509 switch, Cisco 3500 XL switch, MDF dedicated to Voice/Data, AIX servers, VMware, SAN servers, Air Conditioning unit, Backup power generator using diesel fuel.

When implemented this network will dynamically relay road conditions back to a Network Operating Center (NOC) where highway motorists will be proactively informed with intelligent road signs. This project also involves an upgrade of the Michigan (NOC). I was responsible for the success of the whole integration.

  • The responsibility of the Director of Infrastructure Services includes the oversight of IT operations and management of the various reporting departments that make up Infrastructure Services.
