Wintel Storage Platforms - general role of entire team is to be responsible for maintenance and support of the Wintel Servers; my specialized roll is to support the TSM backups from the client side.

Responsibilities:

Data Storage and recover - Create and send out the daily back up report. Use Veritas Netbackup applications to, monitor and maintain tape backup jobs and perform data recovery manage. Service and maintain tape libraries and media servers. Performing tape vaulting task such as keep tape libraries with blank tapes, prepare, provide security and process written tapes for off site shipment. Recall media for restore requests.
Data management -Manage and maintain disk-space network home and group shares to keep them at safe levels of usage and to note misuse, whether inadvertently or abusive, by performing different searches and using applications, determine in-active directories, duplicate data, inappropriate, non-work related data or files that should be stored differently and then handle results appropriately. We also are responsible for data migrations that we do with Robocopy-scripts.
