My Responsibilities as an administrative assistant at the law firm include assisting four attorneys and two legal secretaries to complete projects and meet deadlines. IN addition to assisting the legal staff I greet clients, handle appointments scheduling and provide all desk services for the office. I maintain the law library, keeping materials current and orderly. I set up files for new clients as well as update and organize existing files. I purchase all office products and supplies needed to complete the functions of the office. In an additional capacity as billing clerk I record the daily time and task activities of each attorney. It is my responsibility to enter all the data received, keep records of expenses incurred by the firm, and produce the reports and information that allows me to generate a monthly billing statement to each client. This data includes litigation, escrow and tax matters. I am responsible for processing all payments made by clients to the firm as well as keeping accurate records of balances due.
