SUMMARY:

  • Provide customer Support for deploying Microsoft security and vulnerability patches to Microsoft windows servers using Software Delivery Console(SDC) and OfflineInstaller(OI), (GSA product developed by Atos global).
  • Manage customer patch baselines by reviewing list of approved Siemens security patches
  • Managing Change Requests for Microsoft Patch Deployment within OSD and SDM12.9.
  • Scheduling and monitoring patch jobs for completion and success using the tools console.
  • Troubleshooting failed patches to identify a resolution to re - deploy/remediate.
  • Prepared to perform manual patch installation as required
  • Manage the patching tools clients on endpoints which includes client installs, uninstalls & troubleshooting any patching client issues on endpoints.
  • Management to include asset inventory management, action history cleanup, patch baseline synchronization & customer site subscription and patch group management.
  • Running and managing reports for patching, post patching, inventory and asset management, application count, etc….
  • Support the installation of SCCM 2007 R2 agents and remediation of failed agents
  • Support patching activities after client business hours (US) and weekends.
  • Microsoft Windows 2003/2008 administration (2-3 yrs)
  • GSA SDC patching tool uses Microsoft SCCM
  • Strong Active Directory Background
  • Knowledge in package and site replication
  • Scripting - Windows Powershell, VBScript, Shell
  • An understanding of Security patching procedures and best practices.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask managing several different customers at once.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ITIL processes
  • Strong working knowledge of VBScript, SNMP, batch scripting, PowerShell, WMI.
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows server Operating System, clustering.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office products particularly with Microsoft Word & Visio (technical documentation) and Excel (Charts and processing large amounts of data).
