It is a Querulous Presentation Resource of an Enterprise’s Data, the underlying principle behind is to gather data and formulate it into information to enable the enterprise to derive knowledge, build an Intelligent Enterprise. It contains the historical information of the enterprise. It is structured to support decision-making and statistical analysis. It is intentionally denormalized and designed for fast retrieval of data, it allows the users to slice and dice data based on any dimension using OLAP & Extract Reports from the created Data or extracted Data.
The objective of the project was to design and build a data mart for our client (Sales Order Processing) suite of products, for query and analysis using the Informatica Power Center ETL (Extraction, Transformation and Loading) tool. Data was extracted from Oracle data source, cleansed, Transformed & Loaded in a separate repository (Oracle 8i) using which fast & efficient reports were generated using Cognos Impromptu. These reports give an insight into business trends and make them better forecasting decisions as well as provide business users with a customer-centric view of heterogeneous data.

• Created different transformations for loading the data into Oracle database. E.g. Joiner transformation, Update Strategy, Lookup transformation, Rank Transformations, Expressions, Sequence Generator etc.
