SAP Project Manager
Responsibilities:
- As a Project Manager on this significant SAP implementation, I provided four key areas of expertise to the Program: Quality Assurance, SDLC Management, Governance, and task management for the development and architecture teams.
- My first responsibility was to manage testing during the first release of the system. The testing included developer unit, user functional and load testing along with defect, risk and issue management. Testing was successful across multiple business work streams.
- Following the successful implementation of the SAP system, my responsibilities shifted to the updates. I managed system updates, which predominantly delivered reporting (ABAP, Business Objects and Data Warehousing) as well as a handful of new features and defect resolutions.
- During my second year on the project, I transitioned to a governance role, in which I helped to establish and document change controls and scope management for the program. I transitioned tracking requests from SharePoint and spreadsheets to the SAP Change and Request Management (ChaRM) System. I managed key resources in the conversion of all requests into ChaRM, documented the process roles and responsibilities, and organized for eighty resources on the system. As the Governance Change Manager, I used ChaRM to generate requests for change and change documents enabling development and transport through the Solution Manager system.
- After successfully migrating all requests into ChaRM and implementing processes to manage requests going forward, I shifted my focus to manage the tasks of the architecture and development teams. I developed and managed project plans, risk and issues for the security development team and delivered a project to add full text search capability to the Solution Manager tool.
