Functional Lead for Forecasting & Replenishment

Responsibilities:

  • I implemented Forecasting and Replenishment using SAP’s Forecasting tool and Material Requirements Planning (MRP). Forecasting was used to create future demand which was copied into the Demand Management module as Sales Forecast. MRP was run nightly to create purchase requisitions that were sent to our client who owned the goods and to their vendor as a forecast of upcoming requirements.
  • The project replaced a legacy system used to record and invoice repairs to freight cars. We compared the business requirements to the functionality offered by SAP’s SD and PM modules and listed the development objects required to carry out the business processes. My role was to estimate the required effort for each of these objects and the associated configuration and to schedule the design and build of these work units.

Responsibilities:

  • We designed and implemented additional functionality using SAP ECC 6.0 modules: PP-Pi, MM, SD, WM, FI/CO to replace a legacy system. The functionality is to manage aging spirits (alcohol maturing in barrels) and required many enhancements to SAP functionality. I joined the project during the build phase to troubleshoot process designs; collect and format master data; prepare and conduct user .

Project Leader (SD, LE, MM, PP-Pi)

Responsibilities:

  • We rolled out the SAP R/3 4.70 manufacturing processes to Diageo’s “third party manufacturer (3PM)” City Brewing with a team of 4 Diageo super users; 14 City Brewing plant users and 1 Confidential resource (me). This plant was designed to run as a third party plant which meant that these business processes: RTR, PTP, OTC (3PL) and MFG (3PM) were running in a plant owned by an external company.
  • As the Order to Cash (OTC) and Manufacturing (MFG) team leader we rolled out the Diageo SAP R/3 4.70 solution to a new plant they acquired in Quebec. This project required decommissioning a set of EDI interfaces between the plant's JDE system and Diageo's SAP system and installing SAP at the plant. Configured OTC and MFG processes to suit the rollout of the SAP solution. Using the Mercury Quality Center tool I managed and solved defects. Wrote course material and conducted in the new SAP manufacturing, materials management and logistics processes. Provided warranty support on-site.
