Projects
ECC 6.0 upgrade and Unicode conversion
Database upgrade, Performed all end-to-end activities such as preparing development server, saving the object changes as a single transport, SPDD and SPAU activities, performing ECC Upgrade pre-req tasks such as identifying the customized tablespaces and tables and modifying them, Adjusting STMS from 3 system to single system, upgrading ASU, SPAM upgrade, RTCCTOOL recommended changes, Unicode conversion activities such as SPUMG, PREPARE, adjusting tablespace sizes and creating new tablespaces, performing upgrade tasks, then following with SPUMG consistency check.Target Server Installation for Unicode import which involves allocating storage and create tablespaces, Configuring Distribution Monitor, performing UNICODE Export/Import, and finally configuring Backup. I performed all post Unicode reports and running SGEN. Also reconfiguring STMS and configuring interfaces such as EDI Vertex, then all checking RFC connection and ending with releasing the system to the users. This upgrade involves supporting the modification of roles (SU25) and checking the authorization objects to support the ECC environment.
SAP Netweaver BI Analysis Authorization for Integrated Planning
Creating and maintaining complex business access segregation rules by manually assign and revoke SAP netweaver Business Intelligence roles using variable substitution from Data Store Object table. This project involves changing the existing BW authorization for analysis authorization. Access to InfoProviders restricted using analysis authorization at hierarchy node level. Variable of type customer exit is used for value and hierarchy authorization. Authorization is determined during runtime using custom ABAP code. Authorization dimensions (characteristic or infoobject) may contain values, intervals, etc. Mapping of user to these values will be done in DSO. This project involves in creating new IP reporting roles, planning roles and portal roles. Central management of all authorization objects using RSECADMIN tool, updating the hierarchy using import/export to DSO, troubleshooting user access issues with ST01 trace and SU53 and managing user assignment also performed.
SAP Epedigree (EDI) Implementation
A pedigree is a certified record that contains information about each distribution of a prescription drug. The integration system provider to be used by Confidential, NA to connect to the ePedigree vendor, SupplyScape. The system vendor is Seeburger AG, Bretten, Germany. SAP generated files will be sent to HP-UX server configured with Oracle RAC where Seeburger application picks up and sends it to SupplyScape for epedigree information. The data to be sent will be prepared by internal systems which will be transferred via AS2 application infrastructure in the DMZ to the vendor.
DB2 upgrade from v8.2 to 9.5 and Informix-DB2 migration
I am DB2 certified DBA. My DBA duties includes DB2 installation and configuration, creating and monitoring tablespaces, database tuning with DB2 parameters, configuring DB2 backups and testing restores, refresh the test and integration databases from backup tapes and also from Business copy volumes.
I have played the primary role for DB2 upgrade from v8.2 to 9.5. I have done the activities such as installing the binaries, Installing FixPaks, Migrating the DB2 instance, migrating the DB2 database and performing post-migration activities. Which followed by rebinding the DB2 Packages Installing the DB2 License ,Granting Necessary Rights to use CCMS and finally running the db2_update_db Script. From 9.5 we need to convert Tablespaces to Data Type ”Large” and concluding with running REORG all SAP tables.
The migration project involves migration of the Informix database in SAP environment to DB2 v8.2. This includes Server/OS installation and configuration, Installing the binaries, Installing FixPaks, configuring tablespaces, creating database, bufferpools and tempspaces, performing the export to storage area and then performing import.
