PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Web Developer

Confidential

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Front-end Web Developer on project to rebuild existing CRM application. Built the prototype from scratch myself, one of the main drivers/motivators for management to back project. Extensive use of C# MVC, Razor views, a full JQuery framework I made myself.
  • Main expert in company of REST/Http based webservices. Proficient in Web.API
  • Worked on their legacy CRM application, designing new features and maintaining the system. I was required to work in ASP.Net web forms with a T-SQL Server backend. I completely redid the frontend that once could only work in IE6 compatibility view to work in modern web. Replaced any Active X controls in the system and updated IE specific javascript calls.
  • Worked in their web portal, fixed critical bugs and updated interface. Worked in C#, MVC and Entity Framework, along with adding responsive frontend to their applications in bootstrap.
  • Improved existing eContracting portal that could only rate one product, I refactored it to be able to rate and contract any product available in their integrations, something only their flagship product could do before.

App developer

Responsibilities:

  • Helped develop the company’s new Asp.Net website, back-end was mostly in visual basic with a MySQL server, and plenty of front-end javascript design.
  • Helped redesign outdated code, and built many pages, reports and applications from scratch.
  • Translating Cellular Automata into music, to determine if the results are conventionally musical. The temporal nature of CAs and their complex patterns make them susceptible to musical notation. I wrote modules to translate from visual to the auditory, exploring CA programs such as Golly and researching CA rules that would be appropriate for musical output. For this project,
  • I created a script in Perl that translated the system we created in CA form into a midi file. We made sure to make a system that could be easily modifiable to add features as we saw fit, this created a system that had the capability of producing many sounds that a human being is capable of.

  • Used Matlab to implement the equations we were deriving. Examined many algorithms and tested them for errors, space complexity/quickness, and their usefulness for our purposes. Also used research to find better algorithms for denoising images.
