• My resume is formatted by project and summarizes my career accomplishments. My experience with Unix began in 1993 in an HP-UX environment. Since then, I have worked with many of the major brands of Unix and have acquired certifications in HP-UX, Solaris and ITIL. I currently specialize in HP-UX 11i infrastructure design and support, AIX Virtualization on IBM Power Series pSeries servers and Tivoli Storage Manager TSM Enterprise Backup and Recovery Software.
• I graduated from a four year Computer Programming and Systems Analysis program with honours. I have spent my entire professional career working directly in the Information Technology industry and during that time, I have acquired a broad and diverse background in the planning, configuration and management of IT infrastructure components such as Unix Servers, TCP/IP Ethernet Networks, Storage Area Networks SAN and Enterprise Backup EBS . I have also developed strong trouble-shooting, analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communications skills.

Perform daily operational tasks and system monitoring on IA64 Superdome and other PA-RISC and Itanium Integrity servers. Two MC/Service Guard clusters A.11.19.00 were in operation supporting production applications for State agencies. One production cluster was comprised of two Superdomes with multiple nPars while the other production cluster was comprised of one Superdome with multiple nPars and vPars.

Using the HP-UX Ignite-UX suite of tools SWInstall, SWCopy, SWRemove, Update-UX , create, verify and test a Master Depot for the HP-UX 11i v3 11.31 platform. Using Dynamic Root Disk DRD technology, patch a clone image of the live HP-UX 11.31 operating system on the HP UX Superdome nPars and vPars and Itanium Integrity rx7x00 class servers. • Working with a team of dedicated TSM, OS and network specialists, focus on resolving the backlog of TSM client backup issues for this financial services client.
• In this large environment of 9,000 servers, the goal was to restore backup metrics from 90 success to a 99 success rate.
• Eight TSM 5.5 servers and eight TSM 6.x servers comprised the backbone of the backup infrastructure. The TSM clients consisted of Windows, Unix/Linux, and TDP for MS-SQL Server and Lotus Domino.

• Migrate the HP UX 11.31 nightly operating system and Oracle backups from the Data Protector A.06.21 platform to the Tivoli Storage Manager TSM 6.2.4 platform.
• This project was comprised of two areas of focus. The first area of focus involved the definition of the backup retention policies and subsequent creation of the corresponding management classes, copy groups, nodes and schedules on the TSM Server. The second area of focus involved writing Unix Korn shell ksh scripts to perform both the Oracle 11g database hot backups and the Oracle 11g Archive Redo Log backups within the MS/Service Guard Cluster.
• Additional Unix Korn shell ksh scripts were created to start/stop/monitor the TSM Scheduler processes and send alerts for backup failures on the HP UX nodes.

HP-UX rx6600 Itanium Integrity servers were part of the MC/Service Guard A.11.17 cluster, connected to mirrored HP EVA SAN 8400 disk storage systems, and backed up to an HP Data Protector A.06.21 managed IBM 3584 tape library.
• Project tasks included allocating and presenting LUNs to the HP-UX hosts, modifying and creating MC/Service Guard Packages shell scripts and creating/resizing LVM file systems for the Oracle databases.
