Set up new JSPs by declaring them in the Tiles definition tags and assigning page templates in the put tags of the tiles-defs file. Mapped request URIs to Action class instances that processed HTTP responses in the Struts action tags and field values returned by ActionForward class instances to Tiles definitions in the forward tags of the struts-config file.
Created Struts ActionForm fields and their corresponding getter/setter methods to read and save user-entered hotel/car data. Wrote Java code in the ActionForm.validate method to return the ActionMessages class instance for missing data.
Wrote Java code to format foreign currency based upon the 3-digit currency code and HttpServletRequest.getLocale method. Used the StringBuilder.append method to combine currency symbol with a localized string containing the amount, decimal separator, and grouping separator.
Applied the jQuery Datepicker object to create calendar pop-ups for hotel/car reservation dates. Adjusted calendar display and date range by setting the buttonImage, minDate, maxDate, numberOfMonths, and showOn properties.
