Optimization of Evaluation coefficient of a chess program using evolutionary algorithms (Jan 2009 – Apr 2009)
CSE Dept, National Institute of Technology, Trichy under Dr V. Gopala Krishnan, Professor, NIT Trichy
The project deals with organizing a tournament among different chess programs with different evaluation coefficient and the top were mutated to get refined version of chess programs. The process is continued till the average ELO rating of the chess programs came to a saturation condition. The results show the improvement in the ELO rating as compared to their ancestors.
