Purpose of this project was to build multiple datamarts containing user activities and ecommerce related information and club them together to build Global consumer data warehouse. As part release1, scope is to build the Sports activity data mart that comprises of building around 12 fact tables and 20 dimension tables related to user and their sport activity related information. Informatica was used to build various incremental and Initial load scripts. Oracle 11g was used as backend. Oracle streaming used to copy data from various source systems to GCD staging database and Informatica jobs run on them and populate various dimension and fact tables in the datamart.

Description of the project
To migrate data from old warehouse in Unix & Db2 8 platform to new IBM balanced warehouse platform for a large UK retailer. DB2 SQL and Linux scripting as well as Informatica were used for data migration and setting up various ETL interfaces. Apart from old existing interfaces several new interfaces were designed in Informatica. Data modeling activities were performed using the tool IBM Design Studio. There were 20 odd new reports were created on top of this warehouse. The role was Requirement gathering, preparing DLD, data modeling, Reviewing the codes and UTP prepared by team members. Further performed framework modeling in Cognos, report design and deployment activities. Also acted as technical lead to help team resolving any issue related to coding and report build. Loan System Solution

Description of the project
This project was mix of ETL and reporting works. First phase of the project involved building various ETL mappings in Informatica to populate the Loan data warehouse for an US Financial major and the second phase involved generation of business reports (12 reports) from the Loan warehouse. In ETL part Informatica mappings were created and scheduled to load data from Loan system flat files to a ODS database and then from ODS to Data warehouse. In the Reporting module simple monthly, yearly, zonal reports, and cube design were performed. Teradata used as Back end database and Informatica Power Center 7.1 was used as ETL tool and Cognos 8.1 (Report Studio for reporting and framework manager for modeling) used Reporting purpose.
