ANNEXURE PROJECT SUMMARY OF KRISHNA MURTHY
Project: Web based Password Management
Organization: Confidential, Bangalore
Duration: 2 Weeks
Team Size: Individual project
Environment: Linux, LAMP Stack
Details:
Teams had been managing Servers' passwords in protected Excel sheets often leading to outdated information causing delays in accessing Servers. Developed a web based tool using LAMP stack technology allowing only Admins to login via Microsoft Active Directory authentication to retrieve password of Servers securely on OpenSSL connection. Tool provides various functionalities like Add, Delete, List Server and it uses AES algorithm to store / retrieve password of Servers using secure key to ensure passwords are not stored in plain text.
Responsibilities: Designing, Development, Testing and Implementation.

Project: Automate configuring of HP Multi-Function Printers
Client: Confidential, USA
Duration: 2 months
Team Size: Individual project
Environment: Perl, LWP, PJL, PML, LDAP
Details:
One of the primary
Responsibilities: of CEPS Team other than managing CEPS Servers and application was to take active role in reducing the printing cost at customer place, to achieve this legacy printers at customer sites were replaced with highly efficient HP Multi- Function and Single Function Printers. However, these printers being sophisticated in nature required huge amount of time in configuring them manually and it was out of question to do so. Hence, I was given this task of automating the configuration of the printers, at that time there were seven different HP Printer models that required to be certified to suit customer's requirement. I came up with (designed, developed, tested and implemented) a Perl based solution to meet following mandatory requirements put forth by customer - Program should automatically identify different HP Printer models and configure them accordingly; Configuring Scan to Email functionality.
LDAP Authentication of user before using Scan to Email feature; Locking Control Panel of the device, Printer's browser (EWS) and only authorized personnel should be able to access it; Disabling all the ports supported by the Printer except 9100, FTP, LPD. Disabling external access to Printer's HDD and setting up Secure Fast Erase mode for destroying Print job stored on the Printer's HDD based on Job Timeout period; Setting SNMP community name, Primary DNS, Secondary DNS, config method to BOOTP and other parameters of Jet Direct interface
Responsibilities: End to end design and implementation of the tool.
Project: Integrating and configuring HP MFP into daily check and configuring Printers via browser
Client: Confidential, USA
Duration: 2.5 months
Team Size: Individual project
Environment: bash, Perl
Details:
CEPS application as part of house-keeping activity configures and brings the printers back to default configuration by running a set of configuration scripts every night. This project was to integrate the new Perl script developed to automate the configuration of printers into house-keeping script called ndscheck and providing access to Global Print Solution (GPS) Team to configure the Printer via web browser without providing them access to CEPS Servers. This ensured that at the click of a button on the browser, HP Printers could be configured remotely in two minutes.
Responsibilities: End to end design and implementation of the tool.
