The project is to provide a complete solution to OCBC for integration of Legacy systems from one of Subsidiaries Great Eastern Holdings\' into the existing Data warehouse made on Teradata FSLDM with the help Unix and ELT tool ODI. As an Analyst Programmer for Uninor I contributed to the Campaign project with complex report of Campaign Effectiveness of nature Daily, M TO D and Y to D with level COUNTRY->SATE->CITY->REGION which was used by the end user marketing and sales team of Uninor for checking Campaign Effectiveness.

Description: A data warehousing project for Sabre. Sabre is a USA based major airlines solution provider. The involvement with the client included project management, design, development and architecture of database, ELT and reports.

Different projects I have worked for client Sabre USA is:
- Rate Assured – RA processes are automated processes that run daily or weekly according to a predefined schedule. Their sole task is to load data from file/tables/views to tables, apply Business Logic ,identifying which properties are in parity and which are out of parity, generating non-compliance report and create E-hotel files from the database and FTP them to desired folder.
- Air vision –Air vision process are automated process that run daily/weekly/monthly Their sole task is to identify the booking/cancellations that were made on previous day, and load them into the tables. Cognos reports were developed to view the summarize data
- Emquest –– Emquest extracts are automated processes that run daily or monthly according to a predefined schedule. Their sole task is to identify the booking/cancellations that were made previous day, summarize them for each country/agencies, send it to the customer, and archive them. To accomplish this each extract performs several steps each time it runs.
- CDD extracts – CDD extracts are automated processes that run daily, weekly or monthly according to a predefined schedule. Their sole task is to extract the data from the database, send it to the customer, and archive it on the tmddev.sabre.com server. To accomplish this each extract performs several steps each time it runs. A simplified list of steps may look like this:
- Connect to the TDW database;
- Select some data;
- Pack it into files;
- Encrypt the files;
- FTP the files over to customer site;
- ARCHIVE the files to tmddev ftp server.
- Smartflow –Smartflow process are classified in two categories
- Loads: Loads are automated process that runs every hour, receives file from Revenue Integrity team, and loads the data into the database using T-pump, Fast Load. The main purpose of loads was to identify the fictitious bookings, Restricted credit cards, fictitious ticket numbers, restricted passenger, ACTV etc
- Extracts: Extracts are automated process that runs every 2 hours, extract the data from database and ftp the files to Revenue Integrity Team. the main purpose of extracts was to identify the fictitious bookings, duplicate Passenger names ,duplicate segments, Restricted credit cards, fictitious ticket numbers/restricted passenger ,ACTV etc
- Revenue Summary: Revenue Summary is the project specially built for Kingfisher and Jet Airways which want to known about Revenue on particular segment. For this we created the Fact table from our summary table, applying the business logic according to the requirements.
Achievements & Contributions:
SABRE was the starting point of my career in IT Industry, I worked for this client for more than 2 years Dealing with complex system SmartFlow where we used to receive information about fraud credit cards and to check in the data of about 15 airline that these credit card not being used in any future and current bookings of Air ticket. Another tough job I achieved here was the checking of Restricted Passengers, We used to get the information about passengers that should not travel together in Airplane on any route from the Federal agency of USA, Used to load this information every hour and check if such bookings are there and sent back list to the Federal Agency. In Revenue Summary project I created the summary reports for the respected airlines stating on which segments they got profit and on which they got loss and why .This information was used by the marketing and sales teams.
As a TDW Developer, I was responsible for:
- Involved in the requirement study, design and development
- Integration of Different source systems mainframe systems files, files from CRM system, files from different GDS into Datawarehoue.
- Developing Code, and then Test and code review at peer level.
- Making Ad hoc quires for the client.
