Responsibilities:

  • Manage the clarity application server and ensure processes have proper storage space to run and that the server is performing up to par.
  • Integral part of a ground level EHR implementation across the organization.
  • Key part of the data conversion team from legacy systems (Meditech/Athena Health) to EPIC.
  • The conversion included over twenty third party applications that needed EPIC data.
  • Administer and develop both custom (SSIS) and Clarity ETL processes.
  • Manage multiple large scale environments/universes and user access for reporting developers.
  • Write complex SQL scripts and create views, stored procedures and tables to extract data from Athena and Meditech to be used in our data conversion process into Epic. Extract, Transform and Load data in the appropriate way to be ingested into Epic by multiple processes. (HL7 messaging and integration, CCDs and DMS systems also used.)
  • Develop customizations for Caboodle around end user requests for data warehouse enhancements and additions.
  • Maintain existing data warehouse as well as EPIC Caboodle, manage version upgrades and special updates (incremental)
  • Manage Updates/Reprocessing of existing EPIC released cubes.
