Seagate Software's WinInstall product was used to control software integration. Novell's Application Launcher version 2 NAL 2 was also investigated.
- Migration of users to Netware version 4.12 allowed full use of Novell's Netware Directory Services NDS and Windows NT4 policies to control access to both the client and network applications. Lotus Notes was used extensibly during the project using databases developed by the team to record information required during the project including hardware/software surveys, a change control system and integration test scripts.
