Description:

The Yum Brands, USA has number of stores and different type of products like ingredient and nutrition. The client needed a tool set that allowed the knowledge workers to build the processes using a graphical user interface to create the elements of the data warehouse to meet the needs for executive business information.
The core business of the client is marketing of all products including cosmetics, and the provision of convenience services through a retail network. The client wants the data warehouse to entail the process of picking up data from source, massaging that information, placing this information into a store, creating the data marts which are delivered to the users, all of which is held together by the metadata.

Responsibilities:

Involved in extracting the data from different data sources like Oracle and flat files.
Used Data Stage clients for extracting Source data and loading into target table.

SMC\'s food and agribusiness units make animal feed, coconut oil, dairy and meat products the scope of this Project is to capture the Sales and Marketing processes and data warehouse to maintain client’s history and current data. Data from Operational Source System was extracted, transformed and loaded into data warehouse Using Data Stage.
The project includes the ability to access, analyze and share information facilitating sales analysis that basically helps the decision makers to analyze the sales patterns

Extracted data from Oracle using DataStage PX.
