As the senior DB2 DBA/Consultant for the Infrastructure Support Group at the , my duties are to provide senior-level DB2 database administration strategies to the Enterprise Operations management. Currently, I provide strategic support for V8 and V9 of DB2 UDB as well as serve as an advisor to production support on performance enhancements to the existing systems. Installation and maintenance of DB2 UDB V9.5 for Windows and AIX platforms as well as DB2 Data Studio and DB2 Management Console products. This includes research on DB2 products to enhance production support, planning disaster recovery strategy, failover configuration, review and recommend changes to existing database systems, and testing of new DB2 versions to deploy in the common operating environment. I am leading the effort to develop and deploy a High Availability Disaster Recovery (HADR) system for the IRS DB2 systems on middle-tier servers. I am also leading the testing of new DB2 database versions to be deployed in the Common Operating Environment (COE). Also, evaluate performance of JAVA applications interfacing to databases.

A Senior Manager and DB2 Database Administrator on the SecureFlight project with the holding a SECRET CLEARANCE. This is a DB2 database system spread over 40 servers utilizing a 20-terabyte IBM Shark Storage system. The servers are both AIX and Windows Server platforms and include Tivoli and Rational databases. Duties include all facets of database administration, data modeling, data security protocols, database auditing procedures, performance monitoring/tuning, installation of IBM fixpaks, and implementing structural changes to the environment.
