  • Created Penn National's current production Claims Data Mart consisting of a Daily Transactional Fact, Monthly Feature Snapshot Fact and Monthly Claim / Line of Business Fact tables, the latter two of which implement a sliding window scenario approach utilizing SQL Server 2005 partitioning. These two fact tables contain over 100 million rows and provide rapid query response for current BI Portal users.
  • Oversaw the creation and development of Penn National's Policy Data Mart architecture utilizing the SSIS and SQL Server architectures implemented previously. Including the staging environments, Penn National's SAN data storage now exceeds 7 TB terabytes of data. This was accomplished with a very small staff and limited data warehousing and ETL experience within the IT division.

  • Developed company's Premium forecasting application still in use today. Provides capability to forecast future premium and non-premium earnings and expenses utilizing year to date actual data applied to complex mathematical calculations. Results are used as part of company's budget forecasting for each ensuing year. This application, though since re-written was Penn National's very first in-house developed Client/Server application.
  • Developed PEMA Property Exposure Mapping Application using MapPoint Web Service, MapPoint 2006 and VB. NET providing risk assessment analysis for company's underwriting staff. This application recently received a 2007 CELENT Excellency in Innovation award.
  • Developed ACTS Automated Call Tracking System still in use by company's Customer Contact Center to track all calls received from external clients regarding billing questions, web-site accessibility, etc.
  • Served as company's Citrix Server developer and administrator developed strong skills in thin client computing concepts utilizing Windows Terminal Services and Citrix enabling technology.
