Main objective of this project is to combine to different source system into one and generate Cognos reports out of the new source system that provides a holistic view of data. This application helped business users get a better view of available data than the existing system that was providing only a partial information. Another objective of this application was to ensure all the reports are executed only in few seconds.The application is designed to extract data from two different systems called WM and WR using the SSIS ETL tool and the data is loaded into SQL Server database. Cognos is used as a front-end reporting tool to create model and package, which in turn used as a source for Cognos reports. Cognos packages are also used for various ad-hoc reporting for various decision-makings.

Onsite-Offshore Coordinator

Main objective of this project is to provide a wrapper around the black box of SAS codes. Existing project was to provide inputs to the SAS codes manually and process the same and manually send the output to the requestors. The wrapper was designed to help with accepting inputs from users and process the same and provide the outputs directly to the user mailbox. This helped avoiding lots of manual intervention.Claim Analytics project is a web application that is intended for the business users to submit their request and get the result in the mailbox. This application accepts inputs from users anywhere in US and stores the inputs in SQL Server database. We have used SAS to connect to SQL Server to fetch the inputs and process them in SAS and provide the result output as an attachment. We have used crontab to keep looking for new requests and trigger the execution on a regular interval.

Loss Trend Tool is mainly a reporting tool that generates reports with various statistical trends based on various parameters selected by users. This is be used by mainly the actuarial, pricing, reserving, product management business executives in personal insurance area in Travelers to generate and view various professional and ad-hoc reports to gain a better understanding of the losses and claims in last 5 years and that helps them to decide on the future policy pricing rates.Main objective of the project is to replace the existing manual excel reporting due to its lack of reliability, portability, and its limitation of handling limited data.In this project SSIS has been used to extract data from Teradata database and loaded the same into SQL Server database after doing certain transformation based on business requirements. Then Cognos Framework Manager is used to create a relational model and a package from SQL Server database and the packages are published in to Cognos content store, which in turn is being used as a source for reporting in COGNOS Report Studio/ Query Studio. There are various predefined professional reports with tabular data and charts have been created and are regularly used by business executives by providing several sets of parameters. Several reports are also scheduled and run automatically on a monthly and by-monthly basis and the reports are delivered to a designated shared path and also delivered to email box.

It helped them to take further decisions to enhance their business.SSIS jobs were developed to extract the data from Mainframe system and do certain data processing to clean and filter unnecessary data. Load the data into the SQL Server database system. Models are created from SQL Server database and packages are published to COGNOS Content Store, which in turn is being used as a source for reporting in COGNOS Report Studio and Query Studio.
