In response to IBM's release of its new Enterprise PL/1 compiler PL/1 programs were scanned for variables defined as Fixed Decimal data to ensure they were defined appropriately to prevent programs from abending with a Fixed Decimal Overflow exception. The SV7Q Card SAS/Java/JZOS interface project required a bridge between the JZOS UNIX Data Warehouse and MVS mainframe environments which had not been performed prior to this project.
