Sony Pictures Entertainment is a entertainment company whose business starts with planning a movie till releasing the movie in theaters and followed by releasing products into market. The vertical which I worked in is Home Entertainment. The main purpose of the Home Entertainment is to get the right information into the product (Blu-ray, DVD, UMD), which is made available in the market for rental or selling purpose to the end customer. The project which I worked is mainly a planning application which requires Reporting Applications to know the deadlines of the work need to be done and what information is required to create a product etc.
- Involved in gathering functional requirements from end users.
- Involved in designing and building Universe from Oracle data source.
- Created Cardinalities, Contexts, Joins and Aliases for resolving Loops and checked the integrity of the Universes.
- Created connections for Universe and exported the universe to the CMS.
- Created Derived tables to handle complex queries and also used @prompts within the query.
- Implemented All prompt in two ways:- 1) by creating an ALL object in the universe and 2) Overriding the SQL in the query panel of the object in the universe.
- Created Cascading prompt which helps the Business users to narrow down the selection criteria.
