Lead Programmer

  • Automated process to manage the creation of transactions and payments for all Workers Compensation Medical Bills. This process saved the Company $250,000 during the first month alone, while creating over $1.5 million dollars worth of payments. This process allowed the Customer Service Representative to utilize their time on more urgent tasks instead of manually entering the data to create medical bill payments.
  • Created programs that accurately charged worker compensation claim the actual amount due instead of dividing the invoice evenly over the claims that had bills reviewed for the time period in question.
  • Converted Focus programs from the mainframe to the Web Focus platform.
  • Used SQL statements to gather claim data from the DB2 table that was used in order to automate the process of sending data to our vendors via Encryption and FTP.
  • Maintained CICS programs for the Claim Transfer Process.
  • Used FileAid RDX utility to copy data from the Production DB2 tables to the Test region.
  • Gathered requirements, created technical specifications, created prototypes, designed, coded and tested programs.
  • Created Vsam files to store the claim transfer data that was used to update the various claim DB2 tables on the mainframe using various SQL statements.
  • Utilized JCL to create processes to run various programs for the Claim Batch Cycle. Used conditional statements in order to determine whether the next step in the JCL was needed.
  • Main programmer for Claims production support.

Programmer Analyst

  • Primary programmer responsible for redesigning the process for the Funding/Securitization Area of Chrysler Financial. This process created pools of vehicles that the company would sell off in the secondary market. Prior to the redesign the process would take 3-4 hours to create one pool of cars and this allowed only 2 runs per day. The redesign trimmed the time down to 20 minutes and allowed the company to run several pools a day in order to get the best mix of vehicles to sell.
  • Utilized Mainframe COBOL and CICS were used for this position.
  • Received several Certificates of Appreciation from customers in regards to completing projects under timeframe provided.
