Build mapping services to convert each entry to GL transactions, this required complex mapping as data would be in various granularities, client data, counter party data or third-party data. Build default mapping, suspense items logic etc. extensive use of internal and external tables and VSAM files to optimize processing.
Convert global currencies to USD, ensure no overflow will occur in calculations due to conversion.
Post mapping, data must be separated in batches, each batch must be balanced debit equal credit. Create balancing transactions if necessary, break batches in case amount is larger than allowable batch threshold limit.
