  • Development of Client reporting using Teradata.
  • This position involved ETL from Teradata Data Warehouse and loading intermediate Teradata staging tables for external client reporting.
  • The ETL from the Data Warehouse uses BTEQ and Fast Export. Extracts from the staging tables was performed using Batch Mainframe Processes which executed BTEQ and Fast Export utilities. The queries used Perm, Global Temp, and Volatile tables.
  • I was also responsible for creating the DDL for all target and intermediate tables as well as various View definitions.
  • SQL Assistant (Queryman) was used for developing the SQL. I also developed a COBOL symbolic conversion program allowing the same SQL scripts to be run in various environments without having to manually change the Database name.
