An ideal candidate would have spent at least 15+ years in a highly complex technical and functional environment in development and maintenance roles.
Working closely with the business and traders understanding the requirements with zero to limited knowledge transfer and translate it to solution.
The candidate will also have a holistic picture of the Group Operations components and the inter - dependencies of the components.
Their capability is judged by their ability to apply surgical fix to issues in the legacy environment without breaking the overall functionality.
Legacy components are complex since there are dormant critical components which fails very rarely but when that happens it exposes the bank to potential market exposure. Hence a candidate who has worked in the client bespoke environment would make a fit.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS:

A thorough knowledge of the Securities Operations is the key
Able to use an Escrow receipt as a HEDGE against a Naked put option
Expertise in Options processing
Bookkeeping process and maintenance
In corporate covered call strategy - accessing the long underlying securities of the call options
In corporate Hedged put strategy - accessing the short underlying securities of the put options.
In corporate Naked option strategy - reading a parameter file to instruct what the calculations should be for different instruments
Create new Corporate Action file feed to the new Options processing module
Apply Corporate Actions rules
Calculate initial requirements for the option family when there is activity in the option or underlying security
Run calculation models to ascertain how much money is available in a case where part of the Corporate Action would have to be satisfied with cash
Read RMA file to determine how much Moneymart funds are available
A thorough knowledge of converting COMBO strategy to a SPREAD strategy and then apply the Iron Condor strategy
