Systems Analyst - Analyzed project requirements, and assigned tasks to developers.
- Worked with a 3rd party software package called CMHC, which was created to process mental health facility data. Processing consisted of modules written in a scripting language (uScript), and a reporting language (AGS). Batch modules used a system called 'CRON' for execution and scheduling, and the online screens were written in a 3rd GL (BUI). Data was processed for both inpatients and outpatients, accommodated Medicare, Medicaid, and billed for both professional and institutional services.
- Worked on the HIPAA 4010 to 5010 conversion. This effort dealt with the electronic transmission of specific healthcare transactions.
- Worked on the HIPAA ICD-9 to ICD-10 conversion (International Classification of Diseases) conversion. This effort involved the required HIPAA changes to transactions.
- Created a Disabilities Services Division online admission and processing system to facilitate automated billing. Creating new menus, Help modules, reports, utilities and user training manuals. Conducted onsite training.

- Coordinated the team effort that installed (Symbol) hand-held scanners in Gift Registry departments. It allowed customers to scan UPCs into registries rather that having sales associates key UPCs into CICS screens. The process involved passing data from Visual Basic programs to CICS programs, and back to Visual Basic programs. It was the first application in the company to use 'Sockets' technology to interface with Visual Basic with CICS applications.
- Rewrote the Gift Registry online system in Visual Basic.
- Wrote back end applications that processed web-originated data. Wrote applications to email customers information on the purchases, shipping dates, account debiting information, etc. It was the first external emailing application in the company.
