Responsibilities:
- As a Mainframe Developer at Confidential Food Corp, worked on Wholesale IT system in providing Item detail information to our 15 + wholesale customers. This included pricing, invoice file and order confirmation related information. Recently was involved in a JDA/MTM Transportation System. This system is a Client based application providing our Transportation Department with Invoicing, Freight movements, Orders Validation and Rerating Costs for the Carriers. In addition provided Production to our RAPID System. This systems consists of Purchase Order, Inventory Control, Item Maintenance, Invoicing, Warehousing and Order management. Additionally worked on rewriting of their Label System which uses flat files and VSAM technology. Replaced the usage of flat files and VSAM data structures with DB2 tables and IBM Stored Procedures. The main objective is to streamline and rewrite their critical weekly batch processes that provided the label files to VestCom (outside vendor). The files are FTP on weekly basis for items that will be on sale, are new or going off promotion. Vestcom then ships printed labels for those items directly to each of Shoprite stores. Further worked on taking most of the background functionality out of Vestcom’s hands and have it incorporated into our newly developed system. This process saved Confidential a considerable amount of cost associated with producing labels incase in the future they decide to go with different vendor.

All modifications and changes to mainframe components followed strict SOX Compliance guidelines and adhere to our firm wide weekly Production release process. The last Major project completed at Confidential was to Decommission CDB application(M204) and converting to Cobol/DB2 which involved rewrite of over 45+ major mainframe components and downstream programs.
