CACHE, an acronym for “Commercial And Corporate Hogan Environment” is known as the legal database for all transaction processing of Corporate and Institutional Banking customer’s accounts. The ANZ bank uses the information on CACHE for regulatory reporting to the ATO and Reserve Bank.
CACHE has been designed to meet the needs of Institutional and Business Bank of ANZ. CACHE is a customer-based system and is capable of providing an overall picture of customers set to accounts, because of the ability to link everything together.
CACHE is a critical back-office processing system that is increasingly seeing its past “user functions” being delivered across the intranet and internet. But it still remains critical to traditional back-office functions with little functional/business rule complexity or for upstream/downstream processing.

GIW (Global Information Warehouse) is providing services to ANZ Bank, Australia and New Zealand. By the Law of RBNZ (Reserve Bank of New Zealand), the Information relating to ANZ Bank, New Zealand has to be Residing in New Zealand.
This phase Involves Migrating all the New Zealand subsystems and Associated Interfaces that support New Zealand business on to another MVS platform NIW (New Zealand Information Warehouse) that will be resident in New Zealand.All NZL subsystems and associated interfaces modified to maintain existing functionality and operational requirements.
ANZ Banking Group has undertaken the NBNZ (National Bank of New Zealand), the second phase involves integration of ANZ Banking Group and NBNZ by providing common interfaces that can serve needs in dual manner.

GIW is the warehouse of ANZ Bank, which is a collection of data from Operational Systems that is highly integrated. GIW receives data from all the operational systems in the bank like CAP, CTM, Funds Mgt, Vision Plus, etc. GIW processes the data received from the systems and supplies the data to the end-users as per their requirements.
The Team has participated in a Number of Development Activities with in the warehouse ranging from small Data Extension Activities to Projects. This Project has modules with DB2 under batch environment. The system is written in COBOL using DB2 tables and Files. The system deals with Creating Report Documents.
This Project Involves the Execution of Different Work Requests for the System. Also, many JCL’s are Executed using CA7 in order to Generate Monthly, Quarterly and yearly reports, which act as inputs to Management Information System.
