We had to cobble together a backup facility from what we currently had installed (dial lines) and get a limited function network running as Verizon was too busy repairing infrastructure to install new circuits and the repair time on the current FR circuit was uncertain. Subsequently re-engineered a more robust WAN with diverse routing to be able to withstand outages.
