Tasks included requirements gathering and analysis , documenting technical designs in support of requirements, process, function, and data modeling, code generation and review, screen design and development, unit, integration, and regression testing, data conversion, and database support. Many supported projects followed the Six Sigma management approach and agile (cross-functional teams, prototype development, test driven) development approach.
Project involvement as follows:
- As Team Lead, eliminated several redundant IT asset systems by developing the mission critical IT Service Center Asset Management System (ITSC) which effectively tracks and manages IT asset configurations, location, assignment, and costs throughout the asset’s life cycle. System includes modules for capturing purchase requests, processing receipt of inventory, monthly loading of EDS billing data (JAXB XML file loads), entering move-add-change (MAC) requests, inventory item configurations including peripherals, cost re-distribution, financial data upload to ERP module, and asset retirement/loss capture. This JEE multi-tiered web application follows the MVC design pattern utilizing the JSF view technology framework, delivered ahead of schedule and serves approximately 300 process owners.
- As Team Lead, developed the enterprise Contracts Information Management System (CIMS) which supported all aspects of the contract lifecycle from solicitation to contract award through contract closeout. Application provided numerous reporting capabilities to hundreds of end users. System was developed with PL/SQL, Oracle Forms and Reports, (JAXB XML file loads), and deployed to Oracle’s Application Server.
- As Technical Lead developed an IT asset accreditation tool (AISSA) which automated the security classification business workflow associated with classified labs and their IT inventory improving data reliability by over 50 percent. Application follows the JEE MVC design pattern utilizing JSP view technologies and has approximately 75 users.
- As Team member developed the Mandatory Training Tool (MTT) application accessed by over 8000 employees and contractors for the purpose of broadcasting required training courses, capturing training completions, and uploading of training completion data to outside DOD systems. This JEE multi-tiered web application follows the MVC design pattern utilizing the JSF view technology framework.
- Developed an application access management tool for use by corporate Help Desk personnel which enables them to grant and revoke individual application access based on built in complex business rules. Application follows the JEE MVC design pattern utilizing JSP view technologies.
- As Team Lead developed the Foreign Travel Tool (FTT) a web application used by the physical security department to manage personnel foreign travel itineraries. Application follows the JEE MVC design pattern utilizing JSP view technologies.
- As Team Lead, developed a Contractor Deliverables Requirements List (CDRL) web application which creates and maintains contractual data deliverable requirements (blueprints, test plans, analysis reports, etc.) against existing contract instruments. Supporting over 300 users the application was developed with PL/SQL, Oracle Forms and Reports and deployed to Oracle’s Application Server.
- As Team member developed the Security Control System (SCS) which manages SPAWARs’ day to day physical security needs including badge issuance, vehicle decals, turnstile access, and other personnel pertinent data. Application was developed with utilizing Oracle Designer, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms and Reports and Visual Basic.
- As Team member developed a Facilities Cost System (FCS) which enabled departments to allocate facility financial data across cost objects and monthly bridge facilities financial data to SPAWAR’s financial system of record (ERP). Application was developed using Forms and Reports, PL/SQL, and deployed to Oracle’s Application Server.
- As Team member developed the NCOSC Financial Application Data Entry (NFADE) web application which bridged financial data (labor, material, inventory) and other cost data to SPAWAR’s financial system of record (NFAS). Supporting over 500 users this web application was developed utilizing Oracle Designer, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms and Reports and deployed to Oracle’s Application Server.
- As Team member developed the New Professional Application System (NPAS) which enabled the Human Resources department to process interested applicant’s information including resume uploading, interview scheduling and applicant testing, offer letter submittal and acceptance. Application originally developed in Oracle Designer (PL/SQL packages) then later re-engineered to JEE web application.
- Instrumental in implementing/configuring BMC Remedy IT Service Management (ITSM) suite with respect to the Incident, Change, Service Request and Knowledge Management modules.
