Contract Programmer – This was a data conversion project using Java, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle
10g, XML and UNIX. The Java program converted the Insurance Premium Transactions (SQL Server)
into XML Messages to feed into the new system. The Java program also needed to access an Oracle
10g database for some of the queries. Completed a policy migration program utilizing the Spring
Framework. Used Spring / JMS to write insurance transactions to Websphere MQ. The development
environment was Windows XP and the execution environment was UNIX.
- Created PL/SQL stored procedures and functions for the conversion. The PL/SQL functions
- were called from Java (JDBC) and from the stored procedures

Sybase financial reporting system. Converted 35 to 40 Sybase stored procedures to Oracle 9i.
Converted a Sybase legacy reporting application to Oracle 9i using Business Objects / WebIntelligence
6.5 and Crystal Reports 9. The conversion required working with the Business Analyst to insure that all
the Sybase data elements were mapped into the Oracle Peoplesoft database. Created a Business
Objects Universe to define the data elements. Converted the old reports into WebIntelligence (WebI)
reports using the Universe.

Contract Programmer – Healthcare application development for the Centralized Maintenance Utility
using Powerbuilder 7.0 and Oracle 8.0. This application maintains customer information for other
Intracorp / CIGNA healthcare applications. Created database triggers, packages, functions and stored
procedures using PL/SQL. The packages were used in encapsulate the business logic. The stored
procedures and functions were wrappers for the packages and were called from Powerbuilder.

Contract Programmer - Developed an application to fax mortgage interest rate reports. The application
creates the reports from an Oracle 8 database and stores the reports back in Oracle as Adobe PDF
objects. The application interfaces with RightFax Enterprise Servers to fax the reports and retrieve fax
status information. This application archives the mortgage rates sheets to disk and creates a HTML
document for indexing. Developed reports for a mortgage inventory system using Sybase System 11.
Created reports for the STARS appraisal system using Oracle 8. These applications were developed
using Powerbuilder Version 6.5 and the PFC.
