Project: Nissan EDW Transformation
- Nissan intends to sunset its legacy Enterprise Data Warehouse EDW on Oracle 8i database and reporting tools Micro strategy 7.2, Micro strategy 7.5 and BO 6.5 and move all the data into BIDW which is built on Oracle 11g database as well as reports in to SAP Business Objects 4.1
- The scope of this EDW transformation project is to make the necessary changes to BIDW Application stream to process the data files received from Business team and load into Stage and BIDW databases and Rebuild the reports in SAP BO 4.1 on top of the data.
- The ETL application receives source data from 15 different sources and stores them in the data mart Star Schema using the ETL tool Informatica 9.6 . Subsequently, the data is retrieved and displayed on the UI reporting screens built on SAP BO. The de-normalized data kept in the star schema will be used by Business Users for data analysis. The BO universe is exposed to the business users for adhoc reporting and self-service BI.
