Description :
Project involves changes to and interfacing with the Unemployment Compensation Benefits system at Maine Dept. of Labor. The Benefits system provides MDOL capability to register individuals for unemployment insurance benefits and disburse those benefits.
Complete Description:
The Phase II Benefits Claimant Messaging & Payment Improvements (CMPI) will accomplish the following results:
- Improved communications to clients
- Streamline claimant direct deposit setup, MAP card not issued for initial pays
- Eliminates MAP card enrollment for non MAP card users
- Eliminate the printing and mailing of claim cards to clients currently using IVR and Web to file claim cards
- Move all clients to file claim cards on IVR or Web
- Improve the speed of delivery of payments to States
- Eliminate electronic access cards sent to direct deposit clients, through change to Pre-note procedures
- Re-engineer messaging, reducing message printing and mailing
- Eliminate weekly Advice of Deposit Statement/create Monthly Statement
- Allow for client foreign addresses on Benefits System
- Provide many cost savings identified with message printing and issuing checks, including option for electronic delivery
- Less confusion, greater redundancy, better recovery with TDBank/JPMorgan chase bank processes.
Programmers typically are involved in maintenance (including production support), enhancement and development work. Programmers have a range of skills and knowledge of the technologies used and applications supported by the Application Team. The Programmer works with the Functional Architect, Team Lead and Technical Architecture Specialist on an as needed basis to ensure that design and code meets customer requirements. Programmers may schedule nightly jobs and may be responsible for job status monitoring and recovery.
