CMS is a prestigious state of the art technology implementation for Advance Auto Parts in the quest for improved pricing, inventory, warehouse and supply chain management. This system contains very tight SLA’s for system processes and live interfaces to handle time sensitive business processes.

This prestigious implementation with a net worth of over 100 million USD included the implementation of Oracle Applications-Oracle Retail 13.x (ORMS, ORPM, ORESA, ALLOCATIONS, RIB, and REIM) and consolidation of several enterprise wide systems. This allows the AAP management to have up to date information on financial activity, sales activity, inventory status across the corporation to make strategic decisions especially pricing across the board. The ROI is projected to be in less than 13 months.

My responsibilities include

  • Installing and Configuring Oracle Retail 13.x
  • Meeting of all the SLA’s set for the system to meet business standards
  • Leading the performance testing team and ensuring the load testing of the application including the modules(ORMS,ORPM,RESA,REIM,ALLOCATIONS,RIB) is completed in time for Go Live
  • Handling Severity -1 issues on database servers, application servers and providing production support
  • Handling core performance issues with business process, with the database, overall infrastructure and optimizing the application design as required to meet the SLA’s

Confidential is a stateless J2EE /Oracle based financials system with a strict SLA of 2 second response times for online transactions. Instrumental in the design of the performance framework that met the strict 2 seconds SLA’s for all online transactions and a state less services based architecture. The system also included the conversion of the data from a 25 year old mainframe system to a temporal Oracle RDBMS based financial system.

  • The stabilization effort for Retek /Oracle based applications including application servers.
  • Handling Severity -1 issues on database servers, application servers and providing production support.
  • Implementing InSight/Performance Retail (Retek deployment for Convenience Stores customized by Accenture).
  • Developing the strategy for upgrading databases from Oracle 8i to 9i (now being upgraded to 10g).
