Responsibilities:

Reviews, evaluates, designs, implements and maintains company Oracle and MS SQL database s
Identifies data sources, constructs data decomposition diagrams, provides data flow diagrams and documents the process
Writes codes for database access, modifications, and constructions including stored procedures
May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist
Create new database users as required.
Manage sharing of resources amongst applications.
The DBA has ultimate responsibility for the physical database design
Good understanding of the Oracle database, related utilities and tools
A good understanding of the underlying operating system
A good knowledge of the physical database design
Ability to perform both Oracle and operating system performance tuning and monitoring Knowledge of ALL Oracle backup and recovery scenarios
A good knowledge of Oracle security management
Strong skills in PL/ SQL and UNIX/ Linux Shell Scripting
Strong SQL and PL/ SQL Design, Development, Tuning and debugging skills
Experience with Oracle Security Administration
