  • I was lead consultant for this client, and was directly responsible for the installation and configuration of the monitoring software in eight sites spanning the globe, not including test beds and labs.
  • I wrote many custom rules in Perl for this client to meet their specific monitoring needs and their very specific and unique network architecture.
  • Confidential began development of their own monitoring suite of which I was the sole developer of an SNMP based monitoring engine and many Perl plugins for the suite.
  • I gained experience with Cacti, Zabbix, and Nedi during this time, and developed plugins to integrate data from these tools with Confidential ’s monitoring tool.

  • I began working at Serco as a technician but was promoted to Engineer after a year of hard work.
  • In my position at Serco I worked on a number of projects and received an excellence award for my achievements.
  • In this project, I helped configure Juniper routers and CTPs as well as install them in remote sites around the country. Installations involved installing devices into server racks, running cables under raised floors, and building both serial and Ethernet connections
  • While working on this project I worked with a team to engineer a monitoring solution using various tools of the Tivoli Netcool software suite.
  • After the system became operational and took on mission systems I was tasked with the role of lead administrator. In this role, it was my duty to monitor the servers that ran the monitoring software and ensure their proper operation while opening tickets for any issues while I worked on repairs.
  • During this project, I had to report directly to government personnel on status of our mission and to give reports on current functionality during development.
  • This was a two-month project that I volunteered for.
  • I was tasked with helping the training of 150+ new VA representatives by ensuring that individual veterans’ files were properly filed and in the requested place during the day. I did checks at the end of the day to ensure no files were left unsecured and had no security incidents during the handling of over 3000 files for this project.
