Manages procurement according to state policy and procedures, and comply with Clemson University's procurement policies. Processes daily purchase orders, direct vouchers, departmental credit card purchases. Provides support with travel arrangements including hotel reservations, preparing documents for payment of conference registrations and airline tickets for over 30 Faculty and Staff. Reconciles and release department credit card charges monthly. Ensures there is adequate back - up to verify the charges, and that each amount is correctly charged to the departmental account as well as contacts vendor in case of discrepancy. Orders supplies, audits invoices to ensure correctness, and manages overall procurement activities. Oversees maintenance, safety and security of department facilities and resolves related problems as they arise. Devises, modifies and/or supervises the maintenance of complex filing systems and record keeping. Provides support for the Office Manager for personnel, departmental and grant budget and payroll. - General office: Serves as department contact person, screening and directing incoming calls, emails and visitors. Must be able to communicate effectively, provide information and answer questions that require substantial knowledge of university and department procedures and policies. Provides students and visitors with necessary brochures, information packets, parking passes, and university policies/procedures. Provides general office duties such as but not limited to ordering office supplies processing incoming and outgoing mailings.
