Profile: My name is Emily Strahan and I'm excited to begin working in the professional world. I also am looking forward to learning from professionals already working in the field.

Professional experience:

Internship: I conducted my internship for my bachelors at Hard Rock Biloxi casino, hotel and resort in the marketing/ advertising department. This internship was completed March 8th 2012. This experience was very informative and eye opening to not only the graphic design field but also the casino business.

Work experience: November 4th 2004- current employer: I have worked at Confidential in Edgewater mall since November 4th 2004. In 2006 I was a temporary manager and stepped down after a year due to school priorities. My duties in my job demand the ability to work well with not only the public but also my fellow teammates. It requires the ability to multi task throughout the shift whether it's helping multiple costumers or several projects going on at once, also required me to be able to handle a fast paced high demand business . As a manager I was required to close and open the store along with advising a team of 25 plus and also being responsible for the business plan for the days that I worked, such as tracking our daily profit curve.

Education: High school: I was home schooled throughout high school and completed. College: I completed my Associate degree in Arts. I'm graduating with a bachelor in Media Arts, a minor in Advertising and a certification for completion of management courses. I also was inducted in the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society. Skills: I have the ability to work within these programs and operating systems: Macintosh computers, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft word, Powerpoint. I have had some experience with Flash and Maya Personal skills: I work well with others on a team. I can multi task several projects and responsibilities. I pride myself on always being prompt and reliable.
