Mission Worker

  • Led three missions to the Gulf Coast to clean up in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. (Ocean Springs, Mississippi in December 2005 and Long Beach, Mississippi in March 2006 and June 2006)
  • Co-led a Son Servants Mission trip, a practically-based mission to serve, build and maintain a seminary in Merida, Mexico. I co-led a group of 40 youth and adults over this 10 day mission in July 2005.
  • Led two missions trips through an organization called YouthWorks. In July 2009 we served the community of Mahanoy City, PA and the surrounding area. In August 2010 we served the community of Swanquarter, NC and the surrounding area.

  • Lead two small groups of high-school boys at weekly and or bi-weekly meetings where we studied several books and emphasized accountability.
  • Started a College Bible Study at First Presbyterian Church, Harrisonburg, Va. A group of 15 to 20 met weekly during the 2006-07 school year. Ages 18-25
  • Started a weekly bible study in Manassas for all high school youth emphasizing specific bible study.

  • Worked with children whose families had been affected by domestic violence through an organized program of games, crafts and outdoor activities.
