QA Role: Integrated Product Testing
Responsibilities

  • Experience in Integrated testing between ELM product and the Financials Product, ELM and the Time and Labor (a part of HR itself)
  • Integrated ELM with HR to sync and maintain the Job profile data using Integration Broker available in People Tools which includes setting up gateways, Local\\remote nodes, creation and monitoring of service operations
  • Demonstrated substantial troubleshooting skills in resolving issues related to EIP.
  • Worked on the Integration set up and transactions of the Financials Module with ELM both inter release (FSCM 9.0 to ELM 9.1) and same release (FSCM 9.0 to ELM 9.0).

Resume Extraction Process (part of Candidate Gateway)
I was involved in the setting up of the third party vendor for Resume extraction as a part of earlier PeopleSoft releases. This third party vendor needs to be integrated with the recruitment process for quicker turn around time. If you integrate with a resume extractor vendor, the system extracts data from the applicant\'s uploaded resume and populates fields on the Apply Now - Complete Application page automatically. This feature is available for new external applicants to save them time when entering information.

  • Appointed as the sole contact point for this project
  • Interacted with different teams and peers viz. Product Managers, Developers, Quality Engineering Operations, partners and other team members from integration teams: Benefits, HR Core, Time and Labor.
  • Wrote test cases for the functional flow of the product and automated these test case later using PS Enterprise, PS Script and Quality Centre.
  • Individually handled the clean up project of the old test cases decreasing the Automation turn around time by a substantial 60% using Quality Centre.

Assignment #2:
Regression/Bundle Tests
Responsibilities:

  • Lead activities in Bundle testing, Maintenance pack, Regression Testing.
  • Reporting bugs logged in a third party tool called ICE (Incidents, Changes and Enhancements).
  • Responsible for the Bundle Lead activities for the release 8.3 SP1. My roles included assigning Incidents to the team members and keeping track of their statuses and issues as and when they came up and escalate them to get a resolution.
  • Management/Lead roles: communication with the development team and the Environments teams which deal with the Database environments and language swaps.

Assignment # 3: Integration
Responsibilities:

  • Integrated third party tool (resume extractor - Mohomine).
  • Integrated with HR CORE and Benefits modules. Integrated Recruiting modules with HR Core for the foundation table data like Set IDs, Departments, Country, and Currency etc. for the basic relevant data while recruiting a candidate.
  • Also integrated RS with Benefits for the expense purposes of the employee and his/her dependants. If an employee is terminated or re-hired the system automatically calculates the compensations and updates the recruiting profile.

Automation Script creation, upgrade and maintenance using PS Script and Shell Excels (Workbooks).
