  • Conducted a fit gap review on the CORE HR module between versions 8.9 and 9.1 for an international manufacturing company conducting business in 63 countries. Created a complete list of customizations and reviewed against new functionality. Reviewed new product functionality and recommended the use of new features to eliminate existing customizations. Created test plans to test the retrofit of customizations that could not be accomplished with new functionality.

  • Participated in information collection sessions to create an outbound interface between PeopleSoft and Kronos using flat file integration. Information included employee time reporter data and leave accrual information. Assisted in the preparation of functional and technical design documents. Reviewed the setup of the delivered app messages. Assisted in the creation of Time Collection ID's and Time Collection Group ID's as well as Message Nodes.
  • PeopleSoft HCM 8.3 to 9.0 Upgrade Technical and functional support Provided both functional and technical assistance to upgrade custom components from version 8.3 to 9.0. This included modifying existing SQR's, App Engines, and Crystal Reports to function with new table structures. Rebuilt custom views and tables to accommodate the new version. Applied COBOL modifications. Managed Portal Registry and Portal Security for all the custom components. Created a new application to handle comments within Time and Labor, including creating new tables, modifying existing custom tables, writing new PeopleCode and creating new programs. Reviewed upgrade scripts to determine where values were being set during conversion to fix problems. Modified the App Engine programs as necessary.   • Provided functional set up assistance for the upgrade of the Payroll interface product from version 8.8 to 9.0. Reviewed the Upgrade reports and made the various changes to the setup tables to fix invalid record/field references caused by the upgrade. Made changes to custom views that could not be built due to table structure changes in the upgrade. Created new field definitions that were required for the new file definitions. Created new interface file definitions to match the new requirements with ADP. Made various changes in App Designer to custom tables created for the client in 8.8. Built tables in database.   • Conducted Fit-Gap Needs Assessment for a major retail company. Prepared and presented new features documents and demonstrations to highlight the key changes in the North American Payroll, Time and Labor, General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable modules between version 7.5 and version 9.0. Conducted Fit-Gap sessions using developed Business Needs Assessment Questionnaires. Reviewed customizations and identified ways to increase product use and decrease customization. Developed a solution for adjusting FICA and FUTA taxable gross balances that were overstated on the first payroll run due to an incorrect benefit setup. This included creating a deduction code to be used for the adjustment, extracting the adjusting data from the system, uploading transactions into the general deduction tables and processing the adjustment. This included creating new companies, business units and departments, creating new payroll interface mappings, and transferring employees to the newly created entities. Also tested the export from the HR system to the Payroll System through the Payroll Interface, ensuring the accuracy of mapping as well as new benefit calculations.
