  • Manager PeopleSoft's SQRs to load tables from files supplied by the 4 merging companies. I wrote a new year 2001 SQR to insert a startup row with the 4 companies new Company codes, Location codes, Jobcodes, Dept codes, etc. Also wrote an SQR to insert new salary increases Merit for the companies now making up Verizon Wireless.   • IDMS CRS Contract Record System and A/R conversion to PeopleSoft 6.0 Financial System. Mainframe IDMS/COBOL extracts, FTP's to Unix, SQR's to load PeopleSoft Oracle tables. Unix, Oracle SQR experience. Created conversion task/checklist for consultants and employees to follow in doing this major financial conversion. Wrote VISIO flowcharts of the conversion process. Wrote Unix shell scripts to: execute multiple CONVOY generated SQR's in load order sequence, to count rows in FTP'd files, to move files, to concatenate load .dat files and to
  • remove .dat files. Added commands to Unix shell scripts to call manager's pager if load SQR's failed and when the load scripts finished. I also wrote SQL to load certain default customers and projects. Forty-two tables where loaded. Final production load was completed on time in July 1999 for KPMG's fiscal year 2000. I wrote four post-load SQR's for Security they report on and compare security access of the production database to that of the reporting database. Using Database links the SQR's can compare the over 1,000 operator ID's on production and reporting, and the business units they have access to. The SQR's also write out files that are imported into Access and Excel. Two of the SQR's write out only the exceptions in security between the two database instances. These SQR's will be run nightly in batch using maestro job scheduler.

  • Research and document current IDMS ADS/O and batch HR/Flex Benefits System for PeopleSoft conversion. Documented system and business rules using Word Visio. Data-mapped PeopleSoft records to fields in IDMS records using Excel for data-mapping document. Also, researched and documented MSA Payroll transactions DOE's that are generated by the flexible benefits system.
  • Wrote Cobol programs to extract data from the legacy IDMS system for HR Benefits. Using CONVOY, generated load SQR's to load PeopleSoft tables. Tested SQR's using SQRW for small offices to build test training databases. Downloaded mainframe extract files to 'C' drive for SQRW loads. FTP'd SQR's and mainframe extract files to Unix directories for high-volume loads and the final production loads. Ran production loads using Unix scripts. Checked load status using Unix commands and Oracle SQL/Plus commands. Initialized the PS Installation table with the starting Emplid number before loading PS Personal Data. Loaded all KPMG's 55,981 employees 23,000 actives HR and Benefits tables over a million rows just in PS JOB. Wrote post-load SQR's for after conversion cleanup.
