  • Led a team of 3 developers.
  • Designed, coded and tested the union dues calculation process for 16 different unions. The process was manually calculated and entered by the payroll personnel every payroll run. The process was prone to errors and in lots of cases the wrong union dues were calculated and deducted from the employees. We created a dynamic calculation process the allowed the users to run the union dues calculation routine and validate the results before sending the deductions to be processed during the payroll run. The calculations for the union dues were complex but we designed the process to be dynamic and allow a change by effective date with minimal manual intervention.
