Description: First Solar Inc., are the largest manufacturer of photovoltaic (PV) Solar modules with an aim to provide an economic alternative to conventional electricity, thereby enabling clean renewable electricity at lower costs.

First Solar has its presence in US, Germany and Malaysia and in their endeavor to have a global HRMS system have chosen PeopleSoft 9.0 to automate, rationalize and globalize all their discrete HR and Payroll Business processes into one Global HR system. First Solar in its initiative for a Global HR system decided to implement Core HR Foundation Table Setup, Security, HR Workflow, Workforce Administration, Workforce Development and Workforce Monitoring for all countries, Base Benefits and Payroll Interface for USA / Germany and Global Payroll Malaysian country extension for Malaysia

Objective:
Take total ownership of the functional part from the global delivery perspective and manage the project on its entirety through an implementation cycle from Project pre-kickoff to Post Go-live support for First Solar US, Malaysia and Germany. Play a Functional Consultant Role to contribute towards the core HR Setup, multi country HCM Foundation data Design and Configuration. Ensure Oracle’s Implementation best practices are scrupulously followed throughout the Project.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct CRP sessions with First Solar Global SMEs and Business stakeholders on the Organization HR Foundation Table Setup and Overview on the HCM Modules proposed for Implementation
  • Interaction with Global SMEs on Core HR related Requirements Gathering and Feasibility Study.
  • Devise Strategy for Data Consolidation of HR data from discrete HR systems and put in place a Data Conversion plan for accommodating Core HR data in the Target PeopleSoft 9.0 system

Description: First Solar is the largest manufacturer of thin film solar modules, having expanded manufacturing capacity to an expected 495 MW in 2008. After the successful implementation of HCM & Global Payroll by Hex aware, ASM (Application support & Maintenance) was planned for USA/Germany/Malaysia. ASM support for twelve months was executed out of all three regions USA, Malaysia and Germany

Role and responsibilities:

  • Handled Onsite Post implementation support for HCM
  • Functional lead at client location for PeopleSoft

Objective:
Implement configuration enhancements, Change Requests and Provide support to different monthly payroll cycles for Standard Chartered Bank operations in India and Malaysia into Global Payroll 8.8 SCB maintains its HRMS in PeopleSoft 8.9 The core HR data required for Global Payroll from 8.9 is ported to 8.8 with the help of a custom made interface. The current project key areas include

  • providing enhancements for Revamping of existing Business processes related to the SCB Car policy – Car Scheme and Car Reimbursements, in a way to make it more comprehensible and effective to employees by provisioning more choices and Tax benefits
  • testing of the entire PeopleSoft system after PeopleTools and the Server upgrade

Description: Autozone auto parts retailer, based in Memphis, TN – USA has a revenue over 7 billion USD and in excess of 55,000 employees in USA and Mexico. Customer chose Hexaware after evaluating many organizations primarily due to strengths Hexaware brings to the table in HRIT and PeopleSoft Upgrade. Business Need to Upgrade:

  • Upgrade to suitable higher version of PeopleSoft HCM to continue with Oracle for the future support to the product

With 9.0 PeopleSoft System:

  • Retrofitting modules having major Enhancements in 9.0, For ex: Accomplishment data is moved to Profile management, Employment table is split into 2 tables, Employee review history is moved to performance module, Dependent Benef table is split to 4 tables, There were lots of process that loads data into the above components and hence retrofitting them was extremely challenging

Project Name: EDS – CIBC PeopleSoft Upgrade from PS8.3 to PS9.0

Role: Functional Testing Lead

Description: EDS provides a broad portfolio of business and technology solutions to help its clients worldwide improve their business performance. Its core portfolio comprises information-technology, applications and business process services, as well as information-technology transformation services. Hexaware being a system integrator & a technology partner of EDS, this third party engagement of PeopleSoft Upgrade came into the existence as a strategic plan to enhance HRMS application for CIBC by upgrading the PeopleSoft HRMS application from 8.3 to 9.0 carrying forward all the customizations.
