Working on the complete life cycle of the application starting from requirements gathering to testing and deployment.
Worked on different implementations of the HP MMIS application, which is customized for the different states.

Project description:
The state of Wisconsin uses the HP proprietary application to provide health care benefits under the Medicaid health insurance program.
The vast project is divided into smaller subsystems like Claims, Finance, Provider, Reference etc and each subsystem has a dedicated team of 20-30 members.
This is an end-to-end solution that efficiently provides healthcare benefits to the recipients who are covered under Medicaid.

Responsibilities:
Currently part of the Reference and Claims subsystemsworking on change orders that span the entire application lifecycle. The reference subsystem deals with processing and management of data from third party venders, which is then used by the claims engine while processing claims for the providers.
The application modules are written in ProC in the UNIX environment and Oracle 10g is the database used.
Each module is worked on right from Design phase to Production implementation.
Major portion of the work includes designing and implementing a mechanism to accept 3rd party vender data and translate it into system recognizable data that complies with the claims rules engine and other business logic.
Other responsibilities include mentoring newer members of the team, assigning work and reviewing.

Responsibilities:
Worked as part of the runtime improvements (RTI) team that dealt with reducing the processing time of the various jobs and processes in the system.
The modules that were written in AllFusion Gen were analyzed and alternative mechanisms were used to optimize the run times of the jobs.
The reports produced by the modules were designed in CA Report composer.
Citrix was used to manage the application at a system level.

3)Project Name: USGS-MMIS-iCE (interChange)
Project description:
interChange is a Health Care solutions product that is used my majority of the states in the US to provide Healthcare to the citizens who are covered under Medicaid.
This is an in house project funded by HP to innovate and develop tools and applications that are packaged with interChange.
Responsibilities:
Worked on various subsystems like Claims, Financial, TPL, Managed Care subsystems. The claims subsystem is where the claims from the providers are processed i.e. paid, denied or suspended. Once processed, they are run through the financial system.
Worked on different phases of the software lifecycle right from design to production implementation.
