Lead TrackWise Developer

Responsibilities:

  • I am the Lead TrackWise Developer for the Ship Hold project in the current TrackWise 7.0 environment. The project encompasses a new workflow with multiple Web Services to SAP as well as connections to existing workflows. My role within the project is to lead the technical team to build, integrate, and deploy the solution within Philips worldwide.
  • Currently, I am managing a 5 person development team to configure the TrackWise workflow and the Web Services to 2 SAP systems. The design was finalized after I led a 5 - day blueprinting session with our European stakeholders. The design met all of the Philips requirements and as a result, the Ship Hold project is ahead of schedule and on target for an early deployment.
  • Further responsibilities include creating all Crystal Reports for the Ship Hold project and managing the Web Services customization. I also work closely with the Validation Team to ensure all test scripts are completed and meet their requirements. Additionally, I assist the Project Management team to coordinate the Ship Hold go-live with other workflow initiatives.

TrackWise Developer/Technical Lead

Responsibilities:

  • I held the role of Developer / Technical Lead for both the TrackWise and Crystal Reports software. I managed the problematic, unresolved technical issues, providing guidance and technical solutions to the support, training, deployment, and validation staff. Also, I advised the team on configuration management for the TrackWise and Crystal Reports applications.
  • Additionally, I analyzed the impact of upgrading to version 7.0 as it applies to the configuration and system architecture. I also managed the upgrade of the web and database servers in support of version 7.0 including the Virtual Machines Environments of all the servers, creating SQL queries to monitor database performance, and building Administrator Crystal reports for tracking maintenance activities. Further responsibilities included resolving all Help Desk tickets pertaining to the TrackWise and Crystal Reports systems.

TrackWise Developer/System Administrator

Responsibilities:

  • I participated on a team that developed a Project Management tracking tool using TrackWise. Within the team, I was the lead designer for the development of the Project Management tool, which was used to track project milestones, activity schedules, activity completion, and resource allocation across multiple projects. The design allowed instant access to management trend reports and an executive dashboard to determine the status of each project.
  • An additional project I was involved with was the development of a TrackWise laptop environment that is used for Rapid Application Development (RAD). All of my TrackWise development work followed the RAD process, including Coordinator programming and Crystal Reports design. The design was done in real time for focus group sessions to enable instant review and approval for design changes, shortening the process and reducing the number of sessions required to reach consensus.

TrackWise Solution Lead

Responsibilities:

  • I directed the configuration, design, reports, validation, and training efforts of the TrackWise project team. Working closely with the Project Manager and Program Managers, I ensured the solution met the defined user requirements and design specifications. Specifically, I managed a 10-member project team that included permanent employees, consultants, and vendor staff, to ensure the implementation of a single global, streamlined, scalable, and easily maintained solution.
  • The system design included advanced features such as full integration with external data tables (SAP, Maxcim, etc.), automatic routing and assignment based on business rules, and automatic escalation of overdue and critical records.
  • The system configuration included 50+ Admin Triggers, 100+ Coordinator entries, and 100+ Group Categories and User Roles to determine the record type, record assignment (with the appropriate reviewer and approver assignment), and record severity. Many of the system features required development of custom-built functionality designed by my team and the application owner, Sparta-Systems.
  • The design and configuration took three months to plan and build and two months to validate. The project team met the timeline and produced all deliverables associated with the project. Additional responsibilities included: designing, finalizing, and validating Crystal and Business Warehouse reports; training end users at multiple sites; and training the Confidential project team to manage and maintain the system.

  • For the TrackWise Audit workflow development project, I led the project team to simplify processes, streamline system administration functions, and build, configure, and design the audit and other new workflows. Specifically, I led user requirements sessions to develop and prove a RAD prototype development process.
  • Additional tasks included creating and maintaining the documentation for development of workflows, including validation/qualification documents, user requirements, configuration specifications, design specifications, and training materials.

TrackWise Project Manager

Responsibilities:

  • I managed upgrades, patch installation, revalidation, training, implementation, and deployment of the Phase II TrackWise project. The project required me to retrain and certify 60+ project managers and system administrators on the upgraded TrackWise 6.0 software. I led user requirements gathering sessions for Phase II, and managed 150+ deployment team members at 35 sites globally.
  • To improve processes for the Phase II upgrade, I performed on-site analysis, led teleconference discussions, held focus group sessions and identified business requirements. Once information was collected, I configured a prototype system used to compare Phase I and Phase II designs.
  • Within this new environment, the existing and new workflows, Crystal Reports, and Coordinator functions could be compared.
  • The environment provided a visual contrast of the configuration changes, enabling users to better understand the improvements, thus speeding the deployment process.
  • My role required me to work with the Director of Computer System Validation, manage validation consultants, and direct other team members to create global validation templates that were then utilized by all Global GMP IT projects.
