Additional responsibilities also included periodical demos to the project sponsors, directors and business partners, providing weekly status updates to service manager and sponsors, developing system and application standards to guide project teams.
All of the new Data Analytics projects are following an Agile based methodology with daily scrums, three week sprints/iterations, three week retrospectives, sprint planning meetings and managing the backlog. At the end of each three week sprint I organize sprint retrospectives meetings and sprint planning meetings for the next sprint. I use project master features listing doc for managing the sprints and add the backlog tasks to sprint. At the start of each project I would add all of the identified tasks to a project backlog and then move tasks from the backlog to respective sprints during the project during the sprint planning meetings.
All of the Data analytics project sprint/iteration deliverables are delivered on time with 90 to 95% of allocated hours except Driver information feed project. Driver information feed project is a most complex due to the older data and unexpected relations with in the data. Data analytics is a complex project with onsite, offsite and offshore development teams and a complex infrastructure that required on time delivery of components and reports to analytical research for different hierarchal groups.
In Data analytics project, data will extract from host IMS, DB2 databases to load in to federated data warehouse every day as a dimension. Then data load in to Informatica and cubes and reports generated Cognos tool. I designed a database user exit to capture daily updates with impacting business applications. I also designed a process for full or single record refresh in Federated data warehouse tables from source. I authored processes, procedures and developed Provisioning application area to work on Data analytics projects. I also trained and mentored the team leads and the team members in the application area.
All of the Special projects Service request projects are executing in Water fall methodology. I receive the requirements and scope from business analysts, legal team and/or state regulatory response team.
The special projects service requests are highly critical and needs to be completed with in a short duration of time, one week to six weeks. Because of sensitivity of State Farm interests from legal and state regulatory agencies, accuracy and on time delivery are critical factors. I successfully delivered more than 100 service requests for State Farm Insurance.
I have designed and delivered the Cube design and development project on time in Cognos with 80% of allocated hour’s utilization for AFO, agent, policy premium and agent commission with respect to geographical data for Life Insurance project of State Farm Insurance. I also resolved the orphan elements in the existing Policy type cube in Cognos.
I have successfully implemented 7 projects in Auto Driver information application system.
Some of the major projects includes..
DVA project was delivered successfully along with 9 resources to support and provide the driver and vehicle information from DMV and choice point, when agent enter the house hold address on VB based frontend and mainframe backend application. Now, Agents will receive all drivers and vehicles listed on the house hold to rate the policy according to corresponding risk is associated with the policy.
Order response monitoring project for Auto driver application was successfully delivered and executed to track each product order (Loss history report, Motor vehicle report, Previous insurance report, Undisclosed driver report) request and response time from external vendor Choice point. It helped to drop the incidents and service calls significantly from agents and underwriters due to product order delay. This project was executed in Water fall methodology.
