Project Manager

There are 3 type of reports created during the above mentioned projects. The decision about the type of report was based on the amount of processing time it will take to generate that report. There were built-in controls to prevent multiple submissions of reports simultaneously by a user to prevent overloading of the server. Three tier structure was maintained as almost all reports allowed user to build a complex selection criteria before invoking the generation process. Each selection parameter was validated before allowing the submit button to invoke the report generation. Stored procedures, List collection, Linq, delegates, foreach loop, object casting, switch, case, partial classes and many libraries were used during the compilation of the dataset for reports.

  • has a built in capability to export the report in many different formats based on the add-ins available on the desktop running the report. The main built in formats are PDF and MS Excel.
  • Reports which were displayed in the report viewer on the screen. This Microsoft ReportViewer
  • Reports which were sent via e-mail with Excel attachment.
  • Reports which were sent via e-mail with PDF attachment.

In addition to the reports the last project was a Campaign Manager Application. In this application heavy usage of ASP.Net controls were used. The most powerful and complex was the editable GridView that had radio buttons, check boxes, button control and textboxes. The behavior of each of those controls depended on the data values in the GriView rows or elsewhere on the page. This was handled by setting various indicators on or off. Based on the state of those indicators properties were set on at row binding event handler i.e. visible, enabled, disable, hide, color or fonts etc.

  • Page dirty flag was used to select only the records which were modified and only those rows were updated in the database instead of the whole dataset.
  • Parsed comma delimited file with claims and loaded into SQL Server 2008 database using SSIS package
  • Parsed 835 EDI file and uploaded to SQL Server 2008.
